The cover is made of durable, heavy-duty materials, featuring a 3-layer padding system. The outer layer is a scorch, water, and stain-resistant fabric, while the inner layers consist of an aluminum sheet and a felt underpadding. This thick, multi-layered construction provides a robust barrier between your clothing and the ironing board surface, preventing any mesh patterns from transferring to your garments.
The surface of the cover is coated with a metallic silicone material, which has a reflective property. Unlike other materials that absorb heat, the silicone reflects the heat from the iron, helping to achieve wrinkle-free clothes in a shorter amount of time.
To keep the cover securely in place on the standard-sized ironing board, the edges are equipped with a strong bungee elastic. Additionally, the underside features three hook-and-loop fastener straps, allowing for a snug and custom fit.
